COME AS YOU ARE.
WE CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU!

We know that visiting a new church can sometimes bring on feelings of uncertainty, and for some, outright fear. So if you're new, we'd like to make your visit a little easier. Below are a few points that should make you well prepared to come in from the weary road of church shopping and make yourself at home with us.

SUNDAYS AT NEW COVENANT

We believe that Jesus intended his flock to fellowship together while breaking bread. Therefore, the first thing that you will notice about us is that we begin our weekly gathering with a fellowship meal before we move to singing and learning from the Word of God. So, when you arrive, you should be prepared to eat and drink and be relaxed. It's like a family reunion. We conclude our fellowship meal by the taking of the Lord's Supper, and then we will get situated and ready for our service. (This sermon outlines why we eat together and take communion weekly.)

When the service begins, you might notice that our children sit front and center with us during worship. This is because we believe it is important for children to worship with their parents and for parents to teach their children how to sit through a worship service. (You can read more about why we do this here.) Our congregation is not bothered by cooing babies. However, we also understand that children have a sinful nature and at times display it. If this happens, you are welcome to step out with them and correct them as necessary.

Following the sermon and singing, we close with a benediction. At that time the gathering is officially over, but typically many people stay around to hang out, enjoy extra dessert or let the kids play a little longer. It's a very relaxed atmosphere so no one is usually in a hurry to leave.
