WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?
The Gospel is Good News. This good news is to be proclaimed that God has sent His Son to save sinful people.
GOD IS HOLY
He demands worship, but we have sinned and fallen short of His holy and perfect standards. We, therefore, are guilty of sin against Him, rebellion against Him and rejection of Him. We are under the wrath and judgment of God for our failure to fulfill God’s righteous requirements. If we continue in this rebellious state, we will be ultimately punished and sent to hell forever.
GOD SENT JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ, who is truly God and truly man, lived the perfect life that we could not live, died the death that we deserve to die, as our substitute, and rose from the dead, being victorious over sin, death, hell, and the grave. This satisfied God’s righteous demand for justice. We, in response to this truth, are to repent of our sin, and place our faith in who Jesus is and what Jesus did. This makes us have right standing with God because God credits Christ’s righteous life to us.
GOD'S PURPOSE IS REDEMPTION
God’s ultimate end is to redeem all of creation. He is making all things new.
